When you use AfterShot, we collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, height, weight, age, medication type, dose schedule, dietary preferences, and health goals. We also collect the logs you create — meals, symptoms, doses, and weight entries — as well as messages you send to the AI coach.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the AfterShot service. This includes generating personalized food recommendations, calculating your protein target, displaying your progress, and sending push notifications you have enabled. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
AfterShot uses OpenAI to power AI-generated recommendations. Your messages and relevant profile context are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI processes this data according to their own privacy policy. We minimize the data sent to only what is necessary for each request. We also use Supabase for data storage and authentication, and RevenueCat for subscription management.
The health information you enter (weight, medication, symptoms, etc.) is stored securely in our database with row-level security — only you can access your own data. We treat all health-related information with the highest level of care and do not use it for advertising purposes.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@aftershot.app. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to deliver reminders. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the AfterShot app.
AfterShot is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of AfterShot after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
